Product Certification

LABOR S.A. is the first non-governmental, third-party organization that provides quality mark certification for electrical equipment (plugs and socket-outlets) which is a prerequisite for the product to be registered by the Ministry of Development to be marketed. The products we certify are (indicatively):

Household and similar electrical appliances (electric vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, plugs and socket outlets, etc.), Electrical luminaires, Electrical apparatus for the control of household and similar use, Information technology equipment, Conduit systems for cable management, Columns for Traffic lights, Electrical installation’s switches etc.

LABOR S.A. as a notified body in the EU, certifies radio equipment for compliance with the RED Directive (2014/53/EU). Indicative devices we certify are:

International automated medium frequency direct-printing service for delivery of navigational and meteorological warnings and forecasts (NAVTEX), handheld, mobile and stationary radio transmitters, radio receivers and VHF ground radio transmitters for VHF aeronautical mobile service using amplitude modulation, commercially available amateur radio equipment etc.

LABOR S.A. as a notified body in the EU, certifies construction products for compliance with the Regulation 305/2011 (CPR). Indicative devices we certify are:

Solid fuel heating appliances – Stoves – Energy fireplaces
Traffic Control Equipment – Signal Heads for Vehicular and Pedestrian Uses.

LABOR S.A. as a notified body in the EU, certifiesequipment for compliance with the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU). Indicative devices that wecertify (ορθογραφικόσταελληνικά) are: Lifts, escalators and pedestrian walkways, motorized pedestrian doors, alarm systems – fire alarm, intrusion, restraint, CCTV, access control and protection of social events, electronic taximeters.

LABOR S.A. has created two new certification marks for information technology equipment.

LAB energy

The LABenergy brand certifies the low energy consumption beyond the mandatory limits for information technology equipment, helping consumers to choose from a wide range of marketable products that meet the needs but at the same time follow the modern trend for more rational use of electricity.

LAB green

LABgreen is the first Greek eco-label in the field of information technology equipment. This eco-label certifies that, in addition to energy consumption, throughout the manufacturing process, strict rules for the use and recycling of materials and components have been adhered to, reducing the energy footprint of the device and contributing to sustainable development.

Certification of Hotels and Lodgings

What is it
The ranking system includes the technical and functional specifications and rating criteria for ranking existing and new hotels into star categories.

Classification certificates are issued in accordance with Ministerial Decree 219 / 08-01-2015 by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels based on a technical report prepared by ESYD accredited bodies for audits and inspections to rank hotels in star categories.

Target Audience
The ranking system concerns all accommodation units, new and existing.

Benefits
The process of classifying hotels into star categories is mandatory for their legal operation. Also, the technical and operational classification criteria offer owners an upgrade of the quality of their tourist product and consequently the development of customer loyalty towards them. Also, the technical and functional ranking criteria offer the owners an upgrade of the quality of their tourist product and consequently the development of the trust of the tourist customers towards them.
